Blue Pencil (Portuguese censorship pencil)

Blue pencil was the famous pencil used by Portuguese Salazar’s dictatorship censors. This photograph which presents the blue and red pencil (from the same Viarco factory) thematically introduces confusion as a response to the invitation to produce a new piece of 20x20cm in response to the theme Mono, and paying hommage to the art group based in Coimbra, Grupo de Coimbra Cores, CAPC 1976/78.
