Portas do Tempo (do românico), with Daniel Moreira

In Bravães, one of the most relevant masterpieces of the Portuguese Romanesque, the installation stems from a reflection on the architecture of place and from the pervading granitic austerity that the space demands. Along the projected image of an archetypal house, we see earth sculptures produced by the local community resorting to the simplest constructive method, the adobe. Other local materials are gathered, such as locally produced linen fabric and the brightness possibilities of olive oil. Sensitive and changeable materials, simultaneously ancestral and contemporary.

The piece is a response to the invitation by the Portas do Tempo programme, by CIM Alto Minho, in a joint organization by Comédias do Minho and Teatro do Noroeste – CDV and in a co-programme between these structures and Talkie–Walkie and ondamarela.
